Child killed, 11 injured in Russian drone attack on Cherkasy – authorities

An eight-year-old boy was killed and 11 other people, including a child, were injured in a Russian drone attack on the regional center, Cherkasy Regional Military Administration head Ihor Taburets said.

"Update on the situation in Cherkasy region as of this moment. In the evening, Russia directed attack drones at the region... Unfortunately, we have tragic consequences in the regional center. An eight-year-old boy died from his injuries. Condolences to his family... Nine more people were taken to hospital, including a child. Three local residents received medical assistance at the scene," he said on Telegram.

According to him, at least four apartment buildings were damaged as a result of falling drones.

The area is still being inspected.
