Zelenskyy: Druzhba pipeline will be repaired by end of April
The Druzhba oil pipeline will be repaired by the end of April, enough for it to function, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
"As we promised, by the end of April it will be repaired, not completely, but enough to function. The reservoirs will all be repaired, it is a long process, but that is a different question. Will it be able to function? Yes. By the end of April," Zelenskyy said in Berlin at a joint press conference with Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz.
He added that he is confident Ukraine will cooperate with Hungary, adding that "we have good relations between them, we must preserve these relations."
According to the president, it is possible to build pragmatic relations with the new leadership of Hungary, or friendly ones – "but based on agreements, on cooperation, on mutual respect, this only strengthens both countries."
"And already now, the elections were on Sunday the 12th. The Hungarian people made their choice. In Ukraine on that day, it was a great day of victory of light over darkness. I think this is very symbolic. We are ready for a meeting, whenever the new prime minister is ready – always. Friedrich (Merz – IF-U) suggested traveling through Germany, we offer our transport," Zelenskyy emphasized.
