Ukraine carries out up to 95% of long-range strikes on the enemy with its own weapons, and Ukrainian manufacturers produce around 1,500 interceptor drones daily, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said.

"Today our weapons cover three quarters of our military’s needs, and it is with our own weapons that we carry out up to 95% of long-range strikes on the enemy. Last year alone we put more than 1,300 types of Ukrainian weapons into service. Our manufacturers produce around one and a half thousand interceptor drones every day," he said at the opening of an updated defence solutions exhibition marking Ukrainian Defence Industry Workers’ Day on Monday.

Sybiha stressed that Ukraine’s defence solutions are working not only to protect Ukraine but have also proven their effectiveness in the Middle East.

He also said that relevant contracts between manufacturers would be signed following the viewing of the exhibition.

Presidential adviser on strategic issues Oleksandr Kamyshin added that under the Build in Ukraine programme, the first joint production facility between Ukraine and Germany had begun operating.

"By the end of this year, the whole team is working towards having at least 10 such production facilities in Europe," Kamyshin stressed.

As an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reports, during the event MFA guests viewed the exhibition, which featured examples of Ukrainian defence industry output, including Neptune cruise missiles, the Magura maritime drone, the Buntar UAV complex, the P1-SUN interceptor drone, the Bulava drone, the Sting FPV interceptor drone, the TerMIT 2.0 ground drone and others.
