Ukraine, Germany preparing major air defense boost, new combat data-sharing formats

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov held a working call with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius as part of preparations for the next Ramstein-format meeting, scheduled for April 15.

"Together with Germany, we are preparing a number of joint projects: a significant strengthening of air defense; additional financing for drones, in particular in the deep-strike and middle-strike areas; development of joint technological solutions; and new formats for sharing combat data. We are also expanding cooperation in innovative areas, including projects related to laser technologies," Fedorov said on Telegram on Friday.

According to him, Ukraine's priority is to scale up air defense and, together with partners, ensure sustainable and long-term solutions to protect Ukrainian skies.
