A total of 188,085 Ukrainian families had received compensation for damaged or destroyed housing under the state eVidnovlennia (eRecovery) compensation program as of the morning of April 10, for a total of UAH 82.2 billion, the Communities and Territories Development Ministry said on Friday.

"Of these, more than 136,400 families received compensation for damaged housing totaling UAH 13.2 billion. We remind that this type of compensation includes two categories – payments for minor repairs (category A) and major repairs (category B). The average compensation amounts under these categories were UAH 70,100 and UAH 341,600 respectively," the ministry said.

In addition, more than 50,500 families received housing certificates worth a total of UAH 67.8 billion to buy homes in place of those completely destroyed.

"More than 29,000 families have already purchased new housing, including more than 10,000 families of internally displaced persons," the ministry said.

Payments for rebuilding on one's own land, launched at the beginning of 2025, are also continuing.

"A total of 767 families received first-tranche payments worth UAH 917 million. Another 267 families have already received second-tranche payments totaling UAH 326.2 million," the ministry said.

As reported, the eVidnovlennia service and the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property are being implemented by the Communities and Territories Development Ministry and the Digital Transformation Ministry as part of the UK DIGIT project, carried out by Eurasia Foundation and funded by UK Dev. The project's partner is the East Europe Foundation.
