SES receives batch of generators and trucks from Serhiy Prytula Foundation

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) has received technical assistance from the Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation, the SES press service reports.

"When Russia tries to plunge us into darkness, we become even more autonomous! The Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation has handed over technical reinforcements to rescuers that are impressive in scale: 7 ultra-powerful generators on trailers (with capacities ranging from 1 to 1.7 MW); and 2 Iveco trucks for the prompt transport of resources to where they are needed most," the message on the Telegram channel states.

It is noted that this is the largest single donation of assistance to the SES units in the history of the foundation.

According to the Foundation’s press service, the transfer was made possible thanks to the Czech charitable initiative Dárek pro Putina, which in January announced the "SOS Kyjev" collection to purchase generators for Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

To implement the procurement, the Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation received UAH 200 million. Within this partnership, the Foundation carried out the largest transfer in its history and the largest single reinforcement for the SES—equipment with a total value of UAH 81,928,446.72.

The total reserve capacity of the transferred generators is 9.132 MW. Placing the generators on trailers ensures their mobility and allows for the prompt use of the units in various regions of the country, depending on critical needs for reserve power.

"This will give us the opportunity to quickly power several high-rise buildings or a small neighborhood simultaneously, restore the operation of pumping stations and boiler houses, and thus return water and heat to people during emergency situations," said Head of the SES Andrii Danyk.

Maryna Petrychenko, head of the Humanitarian Foundation, emphasized that it is important for the team to transform international aid into real strength for those who are the first to arrive at the sites of strikes.

In total, as part of the "SOS Kyjev" campaign, the Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation has transferred 145 generators with a total capacity of 28.2 MW to critical infrastructure facilities, healthcare institutions, and heat, water, and energy supply enterprises in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, Dnipro, Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhia.
