Fedorov says technical safeguards to be introduced after TCC errors putting women on wanted list
Ukrainian Defence Minister Fedorov has tasked officials with developing technical safeguards to prevent further cases of women being erroneously placed on the military register and listed as wanted.
"I personally looked into this matter. It was a technical problem on the part of the Kharkiv TCC. No woman has been fined. All restrictions and wanted notices have been lifted. I have now tasked officials with putting in place all the necessary technical safeguards so that such incidents do not happen again, and so that the human factor — which can give rise to such situations from any TCC - is eliminated," he said during the question hour for the government in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.
Media had previously reported that the Kharkiv TCC had listed dozens of women not subject to military service as "medics" and placed them on a wanted list.
