National Guard and Air Forces conduct large-scale special operation in Zaporizhia direction
The National Guard of Ukraine, working together with the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s aviation unit Lasar’s Group, conducted a multi-layered special operation in the Zaporizhia direction, National Guard commander Oleksandr Pivnenko said.
"At each of its stages, important enemy targets were struck. The first step was the destruction of a Russian Palantyn electronic warfare system by Lazar drones. This was followed by strikes on the enemy’s air defence systems. Lasar’s Group organised a hunt for S-300 surface-to-air missile systems with support from the aerial reconnaissance of the 15th Separate Artillery Brigade Black Forest," Pivnenko wrote on Telegram.
Through joint analytical efforts, the location of the Russian air defence systems was established. Lasar’s Group then struck the launch vehicle of the S-300V system and the multi-channel missile guidance station of the S-300V system.
"These systems were hampering Ukrainian aviation operations. However, the Lazars cleared the way, and the Air Forces’ command post destroyed a Russian UAV control centre," Pivnenko concluded.
