Zelenskyy agrees with Syrian president on major agricultural contracts
Ukraine is ready to cooperate with Syria in the fields of food security and infrastructure, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
"We will strengthen our diplomatic presence in Syria – our embassy will be operational. We are ready to cooperate in food security and infrastructure. We have agreed with the President of Syria on major contracts for the agro-industrial complex. And we see opportunities here for other countries in the region as well," Zelenskyy said at a meeting with journalists.
As reported, on April 6, Zelenskyy announced negotiations with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, during which the parties discussed the war of Russia against Ukraine, security, and food supplies.
