Budanov: Trump's actions been highly consistent with pre-election plans
U.S. President Donald Trump's actions since the start of his term have remained consistent, Head of the President's Office of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said during a meeting with students at Kyiv School of Economics.
"His actions have been highly consistent. Six months before the start of his term, a policy document was prepared for him – as I recall, it was 838 pages long. And everything he is doing was clearly described, calculated and explained there – what for and why. He is following that course very clearly," Budanov said.
He also answered a question about whether Ukraine could gain anything useful from the situation in the Middle East, both in terms of military-technical cooperation and economically.
"As for military-technical cooperation, that is a path that can be taken, or not," he said, adding that in economic terms it is impossible to benefit from a sharp surge in oil and petroleum product prices.
