Zelenskyy: Russia wants to seize Pokrovsk axis by end of April, but lacks strength

Russia wants to seize the Pokrovsk axis by the end of April, but they do not have the strength for this and are suffering heavy losses, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

"This entire axis – Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Druzhkivka – they want it by the end of April; such is the task… This is impossible, they do not have the strength for this today," he said during the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Uzhhorod on Thursday.

The President noted that on the Pokrovsk axis it is "very difficult, but we are holding on."
