Zelenskyy: Ukraine must prepare for next winter and not relax
Preparation for the next winter is a priority today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
"We have made it through the winter, but it can be said that we probably cannot relax. We must prepare for the next winter. This is a priority for us today," Zelenskyy said during his speech at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Uzhhorod on Thursday.
He thanked all regions that prepared and defended their resilience plans.
"I think you spoke with our officials today, and with our MPs. I even heard it was loud. This is normal," the president said, addressing the Congress participants.
The head of state announced that important decisions are approaching, adding that a project in the Middle East will strengthen Ukraine in terms of energy security. He also asked communities to focus on protecting people.
"We must prepare in any case and restore our energy capacity, regardless of when the war ends," he noted.
