Maternova welcomes new EU integration laws: Looking forward to more legislation coming from Rada
European Union Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova has welcomed the Verkhovna Rada's adoption of a package of important laws needed for Ukraine's European integration.
"I welcome Verkhovna Rada's votes today on important laws on Ukraine's EU integration. Law in enforcement and digitization of judgements and on energy market integration will unlock important financing from Ukraine Facility! Looking forward to more legislation coming from Rada," Mathernova said on X.
She was referring to the parliament's adoption on Tuesday, April 7, of two laws: the law on digitization of enforcement proceedings, No. 14005, and the law on integration into the EU energy market, No. 12087-d. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said these decisions were key to continuing financing under the Ukraine Facility program.
Another bill, on the principles of delineation and distribution of powers between levels of public governance, No. 14412, was approved at first reading. Once finally adopted, it will make it possible to receive an additional EUR 440 million.
