Zelenskyy, UK PM Starmer discuss coordination with partners, incl USA, to end war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed coordination with partners aimed at ending the war, including communication with the U.S. team, during a conversation with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
"We proposed a ceasefire for the Easter holidays and expect the United States to support us," Zelenskyy said on Telegram on Wednesday evening.
According to the president, Ukraine is doing everything possible to make diplomacy work, "but we see no readiness from Russia; only pressure and determination from partners, as well as the resilience of our warriors, can change their mindset."
Zelenskyy also informed Starmer about the situation on the frontline, where, according to the president, Ukraine's "positions are already significantly stronger."
He also spoke about meetings in the Middle East and the Gulf region and agreements aimed at increasing the protection of lives. "Ukrainian experience and expertise must be scaled up across all of Europe: this is our common security guarantee. And we are ready to work with our European partners for the joint protection of our people," Zelenskyy said.
