Zelenskyy declares readiness for Easter ceasefire
Ukraine supports any formats for ending the war that preserve the dignity and independence of the state, as well as any format of ceasefire, including for Easter, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated.
"We have supported any formats for ending the war, as you know, provided you do not lose the dignity and independence of our state; and a ceasefire, any formats, as we have already discussed today, both full and energy-related—we are ready for a ceasefire during the Easter holidays," Zelenskyy told journalists on Monday.
The President noted that, in his opinion, "normal people who respect life talk about a ceasefire and ending the war for a lifetime, not for a few days," but Ukraine is ready for any compromises except those involving dignity and sovereignty.
