Death toll from Odesa attack rises to 2 — authorities
In Odesa, the body of another victim has been recovered from the rubble of a residential building.
"Unfortunately, this is already the second fatality from last night’s attack on the city. At this time, 11 people are known to have been injured," Serhiy Lysak, head of the city’s military administration, wrote on Telegram on Saturday.
Earlier on Saturday, he reported that one child was among the injured.
"Across the city: a strike hit the roof of one of the maternity hospitals. In the Prymorsky district, there is significant damage to residential housing. In multi-story buildings, balconies have been destroyed, windows damaged, and fires broke out on upper floors. In the private housing sector, residential homes caught fire; the fires have been extinguished. More than 10 vehicles were damaged," Lysak wrote.
In the Khadzhybey district, fires were recorded in apartments and on the roof of a five-story building.
In the Kyivsky district, nonresidential buildings were damaged and windows in residential buildings were shattered.
