Stefanchuk says update of Ukrainian orthography now fully completed

Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has declared Resolution No. 437 of May 22, 2019, "Issues of Ukrainian Orthography," no longer in force, in connection with the National Commission on State Language Standards approving the Ukrainian Orthography as the standard of the state language, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

"This is indeed an important decision – n t only for language norms, but also for strengthening Ukrainian statehood. The Ukrainian language has received a clear and modern standard of the state language. This is a major joint effort by parliament, the government, linguists, and specialized institutions. The Ukrainian language is becoming even stronger. And with it, Ukraine as well," Stefanchuk said on his Facebook page.
