Russian attacks on energy infrastructure in frontline regions resulted in new power outages in Kharkiv and Kherson regions as of the morning of March 27, National Power Company (NPC) Ukrenergo said on Friday.

"Emergency restoration work has already begun wherever security conditions allow," the system operator noted.

According to the company, electricity consumption on Friday morning shows a downward trend, and as of 9:30, its level was 1.7% lower than at the same time the previous day.

"The reason is warming in all regions of Ukraine and clear weather in most regions, which leads to the effective operation of household solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in energy consumption from the general grid," Ukrenergo explained.

In turn, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine confirmed that no restrictions are forecast for Friday.

"Check the official resources of your regional power companies for any changes in energy supply," the ministry added.

At the same time, Ukrenergo emphasized that given the weather conditions on March 27, it is advisable to shift active energy consumption to the period of most effective solar power plant operation – from 10:00 to 15:00.
