NATO Secretary General avoids commenting on possible US redirection of weapons from Ukraine to Iran: aid continues
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte says that American weapons continue to flow to Ukraine, declining to comment on reports that the United States may redirect them to the war with Iran.
Answering a question from the Interfax-Ukraine agency in Brussels on Thursday during a press conference about whether he was aware of such possible actions by the Pentagon, Rutte said: "I already mentioned in response to another question about critical equipment for PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List – IF-U), so this American fighter equipment for Ukraine, including interceptors, continues to flow to Ukraine."
The Secretary General reported that since the program’s launch last summer, 75% of all missiles for Ukraine’s primary capabilities and 90% of the ammunition used in other air defense systems have been delivered. "I can assure you that critical aid continues to flow to Ukraine," Rutte said.
