Zelenskyy: Middle East and Gulf offer serious opportunities to strengthen Ukraine
As long as there remains a risk of Ukraine being blocked in Europe, it is necessary to look for additional ways to strengthen the country, and cooperation with Middle Eastern states is the right prospect, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"We see that we are being blocked in Europe, and as long as this risk remains, we need to look for additional opportunities to strengthen ourselves. The Middle East and the Gulf are the right prospect in our view, and serious opportunities to strengthen us," Zelenskyy said in his evening address on Wednesday.
He added that Ukraine is also working in detail with reliable European partners to scale up joint weapons production projects, primarily involving drones.
"I am grateful to every country and every leader already standing with us. There will also be new agreements – we are preparing them," the president said.
