Fedorov reports on development of changes to mobilization process, solution to problem of unauthorized abandonment of units
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has held a closed meeting with assault troops and infantrymen from 13 units holding the front in several directions and reported on the testing of mobilization solutions and the resolution of problems with unauthorized abandonment of units by military personnel.
"We conducted a crash test of the solutions the Defense Ministry team is developing for the army. Specifically, key changes to the mobilization process and the Special Operations Department, as well as specific approaches for assault troops and infantrymen regarding service length and pay. This will be a package of specific projects that should systemically change the situation," Fedorov wrote in a Telegram post on Wednesday.
He discussed with the servicemen the situation at the front and a number of issues that he described as problematic: "the length of time spent in positions, the complexity of events and exits, complicated logistics under constant drone attacks, a shortage of personnel, the quality of training of servicemen, the provision of drones and necessary equipment, morale and communications on the front lines."
Fedorov also reported on his joint work with the military on the president’s task of scaling up Russia’s losses and strengthening Ukrainian front-line positions.
