Consumers in 5 regions without power, situation in Chernihiv most difficult – Energy Ministry
A Khmelnytskyoblenergo employee sustains injuries following a Russia attack on an energy facility; he is receiving all necessary medical assistance, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has said on Telegram.
According to the ministry, as of the morning of March 25, consumers in Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions remain temporarily without electricity due to combat operations and shelling of energy infrastructure facilities.
"The situation is currently most difficult in Chernihiv region. There, as a result of several consecutive enemy attacks, energy equipment was damaged, necessitating the forced application of hourly power outages. Restrictions will be lifted immediately after the situation in the power system stabilizes," the report says.
The ministry emphasizes that power engineers are working in an enhanced mode to restore electricity to subscribers as quickly as possible. Consumers are asked to use electricity sparingly during morning and evening peak hours to reduce the load on the system.
