Lisovy: Student Olympiad movement experiencing renaissance
Education and Science Minister Oksen Lisovy says interest in student olympiads is growing among schoolchildren.
"For many years, we’ve seen a decline in participation in Olympiads. Today, we can say that the changes we’ve made to the Olympiad and competition movements have led to a renaissance in both project-based competitions and the Olympiad movement," Lisovy said at a press conference on Monday summing up the three years of work by the Ministry of Education team.
The Minister noted that for the first time in many years, there has been an increase in participation due to the democratization of approaches and the creation of a fair participation model.
As reported, this academic year, the Olympiad and tournament movement in Ukraine is being conducted under updated rules, which allow Ukrainian students temporarily abroad to participate in the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads.
