Ukraine introduces sanctions against 10 Russian paralympians who were combatants – decree

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) regarding the introduction of sanctions against a group of Russian individuals.

The corresponding document No. 244/2026 was published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

The sanctions list includes ten Russian paralympians who were direct participants in the war against Ukraine.

According to the decision of the NSDC of Ukraine, the restrictions include the blocking of assets, a ban on conducting business activities in Ukraine, the acquisition of real estate, restrictions on entry into the country, and the deprivation of state awards of Ukraine.

The restrictive measures will be in effect indefinitely, while specific types of sanctions are established for a period of up to 10 years.
