Elderly couple dies in fire in Kyiv region, causes being established - police
Police are establishing the circumstances of a fire in Vyshhorod district (Kyiv region), during which a married couple died, the police press service reported.
"On March 22, at 02:10 a.m., the police received a report from a grandson about a fire in a private house in the village of Novosilky. Rescuers extinguished the fire. Unfortunately, during the inspection of the scene in one of the rooms, law enforcement officers found the bodies of an 80-year-old man and his 81-year-old wife," the police report on the Telegram channel on Monday said.
Preliminarily, the cause of the fire was a malfunction of an electric heater.
Investigators of the Vyshhorod District Police Department have started a pre-trial investigation (Part 2 of Article 270 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
