Russia shelling leads to new electricity outages in 5 regions – Ukrenergo
As a result of drone attacks on energy infrastructure and artillery shelling in frontline regions, there are new power outages in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions as of Monday morning, National Power Company (NPC) Ukrenergo reported.
At the same time, the system operator noted that electricity consumption shows a downward trend: as of this morning, its level was 1.4% lower than at the same time on the previous working day, Friday. Ukrenergo explains this by the effective operation of household solar power plants due to clear weather and a corresponding decrease in the level of energy consumption from the general grid.
At the same time, the company reminds that during the evening peak consumption from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., power limitation schedules for industry and hourly outage schedules for all categories of consumers will be applied.
Ukrenergo calls for active energy consumption to be shifted to the period of the most effective operation of solar power plants – from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
