Zelenskyy honours memory of soldiers who died defending Moschun near Kyiv
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy honoured the memory of the soldiers who died defending and liberating the village of Moschun, Bucha district, Kyiv region in 2022.
"It is very important and right to honor the heroes who defended the Kyiv region and our entire state. We remember and will always be grateful to our soldiers for their exploits and courage. They did the most important thing – they gave our children the opportunity to live in a free Ukraine. We continue to fight for this war to end justly," Zelenskyy said on Telegram on Saturday.
The battle for Moschun was one of the fiercest during the defense of Kyiv, lasting from March 5 to 21, 2022. Most of the houses in the village were destroyed. It was previously reported that 118 Ukrainian servicemen died in this battle.
