Russians continue to attempt to fully capture Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad – Skhid command
Russian occupiers continue to actively attack, and the situation in Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration remains difficult, according to the Operational Command East (Skhid).
"Russians are attempting to fully capture Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Ukrainian Defense Forces units are holding certain positions on the northern outskirts of these towns," a Facebook post reads.
In total, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attempted to push Ukrainian forces from their positions in Pokrovsk area 16 times. Three enemy attacks are ongoing.
"The defense forces are holding certain lines and disrupting the enemy's offensive plans. Intensified aerial reconnaissance is being conducted, additional mining of probable enemy routes is being carried out, and enemy logistics are being blocked. Search and strike operations and fire strikes are being systematically conducted. Our drone units, artillery, and aviation are actively engaged," the command noted.
In total, as of 18:00 on March 19, 40 armed clashes were recorded in the area of responsibility of the Eastern Front.
