Military counterintelligence of the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), with assistance of Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of Ukraine and commander of Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), detained agent who simultaneously worked for Russia FSB and intelligence of border service of Republic of Belarus, SBU reported.

On Telegram channel on Thursday, Ukrainian special service informed that perpetrator was serviceman from unit of Unmanned Systems Forces.

"While serving as UAV operator, he leaked data to enemy about movement directions, types, and number of Defense Forces drones involved in battles in northeastern border area," message said.

Subsequently, as department noted, agent transferred to position of operator of ground robotic complexes of Armed Forces of Ukraine, which carry out evacuation of wounded and deliver ammunition in Izium direction, following instructions of enemy special services.

"However, instead of performing service tasks on front line, figure began collecting data on location and combat operation plans of adjacent units of Ukrainian troops," SBU emphasized.

At same time, he accumulated information for enemy on tactical and technical characteristics and features of use of latest robotic complexes of Defense Forces.

According to Ukrainian special service, after completing intelligence tasks, figure hoped to escape to Russia across front line, where Russia special services were to meet him.

SBU military counterintelligence acted proactively and documented subversive activities of agent. After taking measures to secure locations of Ukrainian soldiers, enemy "mole" was detained at his location in Kharkiv region.

During searches, two smartphones with evidence of his work for special services of Russia and Belarus were seized from detainee.

Security Service investigators notified him of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

Perpetrator is in custody without right to bail.

Complex measures were carried out jointly with SBU employees in Sumy region under procedural guidance of Sumy specialized prosecutor’s office in defense sphere of Central region.
