Zelenskyy: Iranian Shaheds in the Middle East contain Russian components
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during a speech in the British Parliament that there is clear evidence that Iranian Shaheds in the Middle East contain Russian components.
"About three years ago, Russia received Shaheds from the Iranian regime. These drones are designed to destroy expensive critical infrastructure facilities without high costs. Iran taught Russia how to launch them and provided the technology for their production. Then Russia modernized them. And now we have clear evidence that Iranian Shaheds used in the Middle East contain Russia components," he said Tuesday evening.
According to him, "what is happening around Iran is not a distant war for us."
"We do not believe we have the right to remain indifferent… Ballistic missiles can hit targets thousands of kilometers away. Drones can do the same. But if evil wins, the evolution of war will overcome any distance on earth… That is why it is worth helping to protect life," the Ukrainian leader believes.
