National Youth Council begins work under Cabinet of Ministers – Svyrydenko
The National Youth Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine officially began its work on Thursday, March 12, holding its first constituent meeting, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has said.
"Today we are effectively launching this systematic work. The National Council will become a permanent platform for dialogue between state institutions and young people. The proposals developed by the Council should be taken into account in youth policy and other government decisions," Svyrydenko said on her Telegram channel.
She said that working groups will be created under the council in ten areas, including youth work and volunteering, economic issues, support for civil society, international cooperation, support for physical and mental health, accessibility, affordable housing, education and student self-governance, strengthening Ukrainian identity, and youth policy analytics and research.
Svyrydenko said the meeting also highlighted the importance of developing solutions for frontline territories within each thematic group.
She invited representatives of the National Youth Council to participate in the open part of a Cabinet meeting and said that as a first practical step, the National Youth Council will be involved in preparing the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026).
