Ukrainian military destroys two Russian Merlin-VR reconnaissance drones – General Staff

Ukraine's General Staff of the Armed Forces reported the destruction of two Russian Merlin-VR reconnaissance drones in temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

"In the area of Huliaipole in Zaporizhia region, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two high-value enemy reconnaissance UAVs Merlin-VR. These drones are used by the enemy for aerial reconnaissance, detecting positions of Ukrainian units and adjusting artillery fire," the General Staff said on its Telegram channel.

According to the military, the estimated cost of one such drone exceeds $300,000.
