SBU conducts searches in Lviv City Council regarding mobilization deferrals

Law enforcement agencies are conducting investigative actions this morning at one of the departments of the Lviv City Council, according to the city council’s Telegram channel.

"Today, March 12, the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is conducting investigative actions regarding circumstances that may be related to the reservation (deferral) of persons liable for military service. The city will fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies to establish all circumstances of the case and ensure a fair investigation," the statement reads.

The message was reshared by Mayor Andriy Sadovyi on his official channel. According to preliminary reports from local officials, the investigation is examining a potential scheme involving the fictitious employment of individuals at a municipal enterprise to grant them "reserved" status, allowing them to evade mobilization. The searches are reportedly taking place at the Lviv Municipal Repair and Emergency Enterprise.
