Group from Hungary has no official status or scheduled meetings – MFA

On the territory of Ukraine, a group of individuals arriving from Hungary has no official status or scheduled official meetings, so it is definitely incorrect to call them a "delegation," spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tykhy has said.

"We are aware that this morning a group of Hungarian citizens entered the territory of Ukraine under the general rules for all citizens of the Schengen area, utilizing the visa-free regime. Any individuals for tourist purposes can enter Ukraine from Schengen countries in this way. On the territory of Ukraine, this group of persons has no official status or planned official meetings, so it is definitely incorrect to call them a ‘delegation,’" he told journalists.

The MFA emphasized that citizens of other states who treat the country with respect and adhere to general visiting rules, particularly for tourist purposes, may remain on the territory of Ukraine.

Earlier on Wednesday, State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Energy Gabor Csepek announced his arrival in Ukraine. "On the way to Kyiv!" Csepek wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

The day before, he recorded a video from a Ukrainian-Hungarian border crossing.
