In four years, Coordination Headquarters manages to return 8,050 Ukrainian prisoners through exchanges
In four years of work, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War has managed to bring home 8,050 Ukrainians, the headquarters’ press service reported on its Telegram channel.
"Today is not a time for loud words or celebrations. This is simply another day when we record what has been done and continue working. Our principle remains unchanged: ‘Together for the return.’ We understand the pain and fatigue of those who are still waiting. We know about each and every person who remains in captivity. There is still a great deal of difficult, often invisible work ahead, and we will not stop until we complete it," the Telegram channel message stressed.
Overall, in four years of work, the Coordination Headquarters has organized and conducted more than 70 prisoner exchanges.
"We thank the families for their patience and trust. We are grateful to everyone working for the return home of Ukrainian citizens. We thank the president of Ukraine, all state bodies that are part of the Coordination Headquarters, the Public Council at the Coordination Headquarters, human rights defenders, and all concerned citizens in Ukraine and abroad. Each of your voices, each of your actions matters in the collective struggle for the return of our people," the headquarters concluded.
