Zelenskyy: World not ready for World War III due to technological threats, world not ready for alliances of aggressors
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the world is not ready for World War III due to technological threats, in particular missiles, drones and ground operations, as well as potential alliances of aggressors that could exacerbate global conflicts.
In an interview with Irish blogger Caolan Robertson, Zelenskyy cited examples of possible alliances and their consequences, emphasizing the international community’s lack of preparedness.
"Like with Russia, when the North Koreans sent 10,000 North Korean soldiers who are now standing on Russian territory. Yes, they are on Russian territory, but they can come to Ukraine. The same with Iran. Russia can send troops. Is the world ready for this alliance? The world is not ready," he said.
He clarified that the global community’s preparation is limited: "From a technical point of view, Europe is not sufficiently ready. Only some countries. Yes, they are on the path. For example, the Germans are very fast, but it’s not enough. This year there is not enough time to prepare for such challenges. Yes, the Nordic countries are also very technological. Northern Europe is ready. The U.S., undoubtedly, the army is very strong, but we must understand one thing: with all due respect to the American army…if we’re talking about war with missiles and drones, this is not about ground war. We must understand that this is not about ground forces that we have. And this is not something we are very happy to have this experience. Many human losses. This is not about happiness," Zelenskyy stressed.
