URCS provides collective first aid kits to Ukrzaliznytsia emergency trains
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provided collective first aid kits to Ukrzaliznytsia emergency trains.
"The Ukrainian Red Cross, in cooperation with Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), has handed over 50 mass casualty first aid kits to equip emergency repair trains deployed to respond to the aftermath of large-scale attacks, shelling, and other emergencies," the URCS said on Facebook.
Each kit is designed to provide first aid to up to 50 people. In total, this provides support for about 2,500 victims in the first critical minutes after an emergency.
"Supporting critical services is one of our priorities. Ukrzaliznytsia has unique experience operating amid a full-scale war and constant attacks. It is important for us to join efforts to ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most as quickly as possible," said Yevhen Katykhin, head of the Transport and Logistics Department at the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
Ukrzaliznytsia's emergency repair trains operate in shelling zones or immediately after Russian attacks to quickly restore damaged infrastructure and help people.
