McDonald's Ukraine opens its first restaurant in Irpin
PJSC McDonald's Ukraine Ltd., which operates the McDonald's fast-food restaurant chain in Ukraine, opened its first restaurant in the city of Irpin in Kyiv region on Friday. It became the 123rd operating restaurant of the chain in the country, the company's press service reported.
The restaurant, with a total area of 479 square meters, is located at 2/1 Tsentralna Street, next to the railway station and the bus station, not far from the central square. Close to the venue is the embankment of the Irpin River, a popular place for walking and outdoor recreation. Construction of a water park and a large residential complex is also underway nearby.
The new establishment can accommodate 121 guests inside the dining hall and another 126 on the terrace. Orders can be placed via 10 self-service kiosks and through the McDelivery delivery service from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., or at McDrive from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The restaurant also allows customers to place orders via the mobile app using the new "Mobile Order" feature. The new McDonald's is also equipped with a generator that helps maintain the restaurant's operations during power outages and ensures customer comfort even under difficult conditions.
The new location has created more than 70 jobs, including positions for young people aged 16 and older.
Like all McDonald's establishments in Ukraine, the restaurant operates in accordance with enhanced safety rules. During an air raid alert, the restaurant temporarily suspends operations so that employees and visitors can move to the nearest shelter, and service resumes within an hour after the all-clear.
The first McDonald's restaurant in Ukraine opened on May 24, 1997, in Kyiv. Currently, 123 restaurants are operating in Ukraine, while another 15 remain closed due to security requirements.
According to the YouControl analytical system, McDonald's in Ukraine generated UAH 15.6 billion in revenue in the first nine months of 2025, which was 26.2% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Net profit increased by 9.7% to UAH 1.4 billion.
