Ukraine's air defense shoot down 111 of 141 enemy UAVs, with hits recorded in 16 locations by 24 UAVs

On Friday night, the Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized 111 of 141 enemy UAVs, with hits recorded on 24 UAVs at 16 locations, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

"According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense forces have shot down or suppressed 111 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country," the message reads.

In total, on the night of March 6 (from 18:00 on March 5), the enemy attacked with 141 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas type and drones of other types from the directions of Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of the Russian Federation, Hvardeyske, Chauda – TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, about 100 of them were Shaheds.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Meanwhile, 24 attack UAVs were recorded hitting 16 locations, as well as the crash of downed UAVs (debris) at one location.

The attack continues, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace, according to air command.
