TDF brigades to be reinforced with air defense missile units, UAVs, ground robotics, large-caliber artillery

Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky has said that as part of the reform of the Territorial Defense Forces, brigades will be reinforced with units comprising unmanned aerial vehicles, ground-based robotic systems, air defense missile units and large-caliber artillery.

"The reform of Territorial Defense units launched six months ago is continuing. All TDF brigades are transitioning to a unified structure with a reinforced unmanned component. Large-caliber artillery units, air defense missile units and ground robotic systems units are being introduced into the brigades. This will multiply the combat capabilities of TDF brigades and allow them to successfully defend their designated area of responsibility," he wrote on his Facebook page.

The commander-in-chief noted that TDF units are planned for use specifically in defensive operations. "Our goal is to increase the combat effectiveness of the Territorial Defense Forces while at the same time reducing casualties," he added.
