Drone strike on Novorossiysk damages stern of Russian missile boat – CyberBoroshno

As a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones on Novorossiysk Bay, the stern of a Russian Project 1241 Molniya missile boat was damaged, the OSINT project CyberBoroshno reported.

"This section of the ship houses the main engines and the aft engine room, which provide power to the boat’s propulsion system. Additionally, the aft area houses two 30mm AK-630M artillery mounts, designed for close-in air defense and the destruction of small targets," according to a post on the project’s Telegram channel.

It is noted that the aft section also houses diesel generators that provide power to the ship’s systems, as well as the crew’s service areas, in particular the personnel mess hall.

It was earlier reported that the midship superstructure of the Russian frigate Admiral Essen was damaged in an attack by Ukrainian drones on Novorossiysk Bay.

As reported, on the night of March 2, the SBU, together with the Defense Forces, struck the minesweeper Valentyn Pikul. The anti-submarine ships Yeysk and Kasimov were seriously damaged. Three Russian sailors were killed and 14 others were wounded.
