On the night of March 2, the SBU, together with the Defense Forces, struck the minesweeper Valentin Pikul, while the anti-submarine ships Yeysk and Kasimov sustained serious damage; three Russian sailors were killed and 14 others wounded, a source in the SBU told Interfax-Ukraine.

The minesweeper Valentin Pikul was hit. The anti-submarine ships Yeysk and Kasimov also received serious damage, the agency’s interlocutor said on Wednesday regarding the results of the successful SBU attack on the port of Novorossiysk.

According to the source, the strike resulted in the deaths of three Russian sailors, with 14 others injured.

The source reminded that the attack also hit a 30N6E2 guidance radar of the S-300PMU-2 Favorit complex, a Pantsir-S2 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system, and six out of seven oil loading arms at the Sheskharis oil terminal. The fire in the port lasted throughout the night.

The SBU systematically reaches Russia where it considers itself safe—in ports, at bases, and in the deep rear. There are no protected zones for Russian military facilities. As long as Russia continues its war against Ukraine, it will find no peace anywhere—not at sea, not on land, and not in the rear, the SBU source said.
