Child assistance payments begin – Svyrydenko

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko has announced that child assistance payments have started, and special accounts to receive these funds can now be opened at Oschadbank.

"Funds under the eYasla program are starting to reach 1,370 people. The payment amounts to UAH 8,000 per month when a mother, father, or guardian returns to work after the child turns 1 year old. The funds can be used to pay for a nanny, an assistant, or a kindergarten," Svyrydenko wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to her, payments for childcare for children under one year old have also been transferred to more than 46,000 families.

The Prime Minister reminded that since the beginning of this year, the monthly assistance for childcare for a child under one year old is UAH 7,000.

"The government is working on expanding application options, particularly through ‘Diia’. Receiving childcare assistance should be as simple, clear, and convenient for families as possible," she emphasized.

Among other things, Svyrydenko reminded that other payments remain in effect: pregnancy and childbirth assistance, and UAH 50,000 upon the birth of a child.
