Veselianka, Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhia region under control of Ukraine's Defense Forces – Voloshyn
Southern Defense Forces spokesperson Vladyslav Voloshyn, in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine, refuted enemy claims about the alleged occupation of the settlements of Veselianka and Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhia region.
The spokesperson called fake the information about the alleged "capture" of the village of Mali Shcherbaky near Orikhiv.
"This is complete nonsense; there were not even any assault actions there. The Defense Forces are holding the line there, and the settlement remains under our control," he said.
Responding to a question about Veselianka, Voloshyn also described reports of the settlement’s occupation as fake.
Separately, Voloshyn said Russian propaganda regularly "reports on the capture" of various settlements, including Zaliznychne, where up to two dozen combat engagements take place daily, "but they fail to achieve this."
"The Russians are trying with all their might to capture this settlement. It is located southwest of Huliaipole. But our soldiers are successfully repelling all assault actions and pushing the enemy back," the spokesperson said.
In addition, the enemy has already dropped 40-50 unguided aerial rockets on the village of Charivne (Huliaipole district, Zaporizhia region), which is a very large number, Voloshyn said.
