As of Tuesday, the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (DART) has not received any appeals from Ukrainian citizens currently in the UAE, the DART press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"In the event that DART receives complaints regarding the improper fulfillment of obligations by tour operators, the agency will immediately review such appeals within its competence," the agency emphasized.

It was noted that, according to current legislation, when purchasing a tourism product, citizens should first contact their tour operators, who, upon concluding a contract, assume responsibility for organizing the return and support of their clients in case of force majeure circumstances. Citizens who traveled independently and did not use the services of tour operators can, if necessary, contact the consular section of the Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE, which monitors the situation and provides a range of recommendations.

DART does not have data on the specific number of domestic tourists currently in Middle Eastern countries.

According to Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, there are currently about 250,000 Ukrainians in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs consular service is in constant contact with citizens. Every embassy in the region has developed a form for citizens to complete to ensure rapid communication with the maximum number of individuals.
