President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he has not directly received any requests from partners or Middle Eastern representatives regarding the involvement of Ukrainian experts to intercept Iranian drones.
"I have not received any requests directly from Britain, nor from any of the partners, nor from representatives of the Middle East. I have not spoken with anyone about this, so there is really nothing more to say, to be honest," he told journalists on Monday.
The President’s clarification comes after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Sunday that the United Kingdom would bring in "experts from Ukraine" alongside its own specialists to help Gulf partners shoot down Iranian drones. While Zelenskyy previously stated that Ukraine’s experience in fending off thousands of Shahed-type drones is "irreplaceable" and that Kyiv is "ready to share this experience," he emphasized on Monday that no formal or direct request for personnel deployment has reached his office.
