Russia is preparing a new wave of attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure, specifically targeting water supply facilities, and communities must focus on addressing this challenge, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

"Russia is preparing a new wave. It will strike at infrastructure, logistics, and water supply. They want us to have problems specifically with water. Communities must focus on this challenge, and for our part, we must obtain more missiles for air defense," he told journalists on Monday.

This follows earlier warnings from the President in late February regarding a tactical shift by Russia. During a coordination call on February 22, Zelenskyy noted that after failing to collapse the energy grid during the peak of winter, Russia began increasingly prioritizing logistics—primarily the railway—and urban water supply infrastructure as its main targets for large-scale strikes.
