President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and representatives of the Dutch government who arrived in Kyiv – Minister of Foreign Affairs Tom Berend Willem Berendsen and Minister of Defense Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius – discussed measures to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, the continuation of the PURL program and further diplomatic steps towards achieving peace in Ukraine.

"Today, representatives of the new Government of the Netherlands, which began its work this week – the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Foreign Affairs – are in Ukraine. This visit is a strong signal of support for our people. It is very important to us. Thanks to our cooperation with all Dutch governments throughout this war, relations between our countries have already reached the level of a strategic partnership and trust," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday.

He said that the main focus of the talks was strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, continuing the implementation of the PURL initiative, advancing diplomacy to achieve a just and dignified peace, and further deepening defense cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands.

"Thank you for your readiness to continue supporting Ukraine. We can rely on the Netherlands, and that matters. I am grateful for every expression of support for our people," Zelenskyy said.
