Zelenskyy to Rutte: Important that we want to end this war, but much depends on USA

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy briefed NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on the meetings between the Ukrainian and American teams and the preparation of a trilateral negotiating format.

"I briefed him on our team’s meetings with the American side and our preparations for a trilateral format. It is important that we are sincerely committed to ending this war, and we are doing everything to achieve that. And in many respects, it depends specifically on the U.S. whether Russia will be ready to end the war," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The president said that "real peace and security are needed." He thanked Rutte for support and noted further coordination of efforts.
