Each corps and brigade will have digital officer – defense minister

Every corps and every brigade will have a digital officer who will implement innovations and changes, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced at a meeting with journalists.

"We’re working on developing a vertical chain of command for digital officers in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who will be the driving forces of innovation in the military. The first digital officer has already been appointed. Every corps and every brigade will have a digital officer who will implement innovation and change," he said.

Fedorov also noted that the department continued to implement deferrals so that "people don’t have to stand in line when they need to get them."

"There are no longer any lines at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TCK) like there used to be, even six months ago," he added.

At the same time, the Minister of Defense announced the launch of the process of creating centers of excellence for all technologies. He emphasized the critical importance of creating one for each area: drones, Middle Strike, Deep Strike, artillery, and others.

"The centers’ job is to constantly analyze the next step and win the technology war," Fedorov explained.
